April Fool's!

I'm going to start with a few pictures from one of our practicals at the hospital. These pictures show the ridiculousness of the people in our program- they're pretty entertaining to say the least.

Typical afternoon at the rehab hospital
Alright, enough of that nonsense! Needless to say, I am enjoying my practicals quite a bit and have become a lot closer with many of the physical therapists especially at the rehabsports clinic. Our group was actually invited to grab a few beers with the PT's after work which was pretty neat and we definitely felt very professional. I mean, isn't that what real people do after work? Grab a few beers with their coworkers?

On a different note, I had the best April Fool's this past Friday. Why, you ask? Well, my mom decided to surprise everyone in Poland and show up on an unexpected day surprising everyone. Butttt, then I decided- how fun would it be if I surprised her? So, right after practicals I grabbed my bag, my cousin's blinds (he made me get him blinds in Poznan so I had to carry this long, skinny box around with me all day) and my train tickets beginning my adventure across Poland. I had a connection train in this dinky little town called Kutno where I happened to leave this "oh so valuable" box with my cousin's blinds- great going Ola! After six hours of being on the train, I finally got to Pulawy where I had my cousin pick me up (he was pretty upset about the blinds which the police of Kutno ended up finding and sending to the police department for my cousin to pick up- nice huh?). We decided that my cousin was going to walk into my aunt's apartment where my mom was staying, carrying my overnight bag. We were sort of hoping she would recognize the bag, which of course she did not. After a while and some loud laughter, I knocked very loudly on the door and my cousin slightly opened the door, apologizing for the obnoxious laughter coming from the apartment at such a late hour. That's when I busted open the door and stood in the doorway. My mom first was sooooo confused and then started jumping up and down confused out of her mind. Most importantly, it was a GREAT April Fool's prank I played on her and I'm very proud of myself. I spent the weekend in Pulawy and left at 5:30 this morning- talk about an early train! Here are a few pictures from the weekend :) Enjoy!

Also, my mom is coming to Poznan on Wednesday and then we are flying to Milan on Friday morning with my friend Ania for the marathon. I am very nervous, but I also canNOT wait to get it done. I think I'm ready and hopefully I can get my desired time...about 4 hours? I will let you know how that goes when I get back! Until next time America! Peace and Love!
